There was no way to hide the unusual two-bathroom layout in this two-bedroom corner suite, so it became a talking point that set it apart from other options in the Entertainment District this spring.
“Almost everyone explained that they liked the property, but for the ‘crazy’ bathroom, the ‘shared’ bathroom, the ‘nutso’ bathroom, etc.,” Constable Andrew said. Unsworth.
“The bathrooms share a single open-air mid-shower between the respective bathroom spaces with toilets and sinks.
“This means that in order to ensure privacy, one has to climb through the shower to the other bathroom and lock the roommate’s door. Of course, then you have to think about unlocking said roommate’s door to avoid a fight later.
During the second week of marketing, buyers familiarized themselves with the layout and offers were sent out, including at two-hour intervals.
“We had a low first ball [offer] and many were testing me with informal offers over the phone, so clearly there were a lot of bargain hunters at this point,” Mr Unsworth said.
“In the end, we had two fantastic buyers who loved the space, and I was able to start a bidding war, so we got our price and more.”
WHAT THEY GOT
This seven-year-old unit was designed with the bedrooms on opposite sides of an open main room with windows on two sides and a balcony in the northwest corner.
The unit comes complete with stainless steel kitchen appliances and stacked washing machines, as well as locker and parking.
Monthly fee of $593 covers water and heating bills.
“It’s a beautiful building that’s super central,” Mr Unsworth said.
“Amenities are five star with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and outdoor deck where you can BBQ.”
