Eco-friendly 1 Hotel Toronto gears up for its summer debut
Reservations have opened for a new sustainability-focused property created by a team that includes David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, SH Hotels & Resorts and Mohari Hospitality.
This new hotel in downtown Toronto will embody 1 Hotels’ philosophy of sustainable luxury.

Founded by Barry Sternlicht, CEO and President of Starwood Capital Group, the nature-focused 1 Hotels brand began accepting bookings from August 4, 2021 for its inaugural program in Canada.
Real estate investment company Mohari Hospitality has acquired and redeveloped this site in the King Street West neighborhood of Toronto. The property was designed in partnership with SH Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Starwood Capital Group, and Rockwell Group founder and chairman David Rockwell.

Living spaces inspired by nature
The hotel has 112 rooms, including 21 suites, with impressive skyline views. The design connects guests with the natural environment through the use of wood furniture from sustainable sources, as well as innovative initiatives such as an on-site organic composter and a bee hotel. The distinctive features of each room, meanwhile, include heated floors, plants, organic linens, yoga mats, and organic bath products.

Upon opening, guests will be able to dine at the casual all-day indoor and outdoor restaurant, 1 Kitchen Toronto, featuring plant-based dishes, sustainably caught fish, and freshly squeezed juices. cold. All ingredients will come from a radius of 50 km around the property.
