The sixth edition of the Montreal Ribfest will take place the weekend of August 13 to 15 in the parking lot adjacent to the Pierrefonds-Roxboro Borough Hotel at 13665, boul. The three-day event will take place daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free entry.

Last year’s Ribfest was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but organizers said they had “re-imagined” this year’s festival by hosting a “take-out style event to maximize the safety and security of community members and the general public ”.

This year’s festival will feature three “Ribbers” (Ribs Royale, Dinosaur BBQ and Fat Boys), six food vendors (Beavertails, Lemonade Montreal, Street Pizza, Blooming Onion, Corn Roaster and Twister Potatoes).

In addition to the food offering, the Montreal Ribfest is also the biggest fundraising event of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the West Island. The Kirkland-based agency said funds raised at the festival through fundraising, along with sales of merchandise and drinks, are used to support various programs it has to offer.

“Each program enables life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of West Island youth,” said organizers

This year’s festival is sponsored by Traffic Tech and FlightHub, two longtime supporters of the agency.
