In a new survey, the OPS is asking residents to register to participate in the community consultation process organized by the OPS and the Ottawa Police Service Board. It will take place online.

Information from the consultations will help the OPS determine its priorities before applying to the Police Services Board for funding for 2022.

“We encourage everyone who lives in Ottawa to participate and let us know how to best invest our resources,” the survey said.

The OPS is also asking residents to complete an online public survey that will be posted online September 1 at ottawapolice.ca/2022Budget. It will be offered in eight languages: English, French, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Somali and Spanish.

The OPS Strategic Partnerships and Engagement Unit is leading the consultation process in partnership with DiversiPro, a business management consultant hired to raise awareness among marginalized and racialized communities.
