Who are eligible?

The University of Ottawa Specialized Scholarships are only available to international students who hold citizenship of African countries. No application is required, but they should provide proof to be eligible:

  • Proof of citizenship in any African country
  • Need approval Canadian study permit
  • Be newly admitted to one of the following undergraduate programs offered in English or with the French immersion option:
    • Engineering: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering
    • Social sciences: sociology, anthropology, international development and globalization, conflict studies, public administration
    • Science: All programs except Honors B.Sc. in Biochemistry/B.Sc.A. in chemical engineering
  • Enrolled in full-time study
