This $17.5million mansion in Toronto has been on the market for four years

We wrote about this house in 2018, because take a good look at the house! How could we not write about it?

And while homes listed for millions of dollars can take time – even years – to sell, this one has been on and off the market for four years…

The family room is open concept with the breakfast area and the kitchen. It includes built-in bookcases and an exit to the backyard.

During this period, the price rose from $12,800,000 in 2018 to $17,500,000, the price at which it is currently listed.

Not much has changed when it comes to the interior of the house, but the improvements will soon become apparent.

The wine cellar.

It still has everything a luxury mansion should and more.

The sport field.

It has an indoor basketball court worthy of the NBA, a gym, a home cinema, a wine cellar, a bar and a jacuzzi.

The dining room with a view of the ravine.

The ground floor still houses large, bright and modern main rooms.

The living room with a fireplace and wall paneling.

However, the staging has definitely improved since 2018, moving from a sterile presentation to more modern furnishings that fit the rooms.

The kitchen and the large central island with additional storage.

The kitchen is always full of luxury chef-worthy appliances.

One of seven bedrooms.

The rooms have been “virtually upgraded” for the ad photos but the walls remain the same.

The master bedroom.

The master bedroom is more lavish than ever with a sitting area, fireplace, walk-in closet and more.

The adjoining bathroom of the master bedroom.

Luxury finishes ground the residence – from its limestone exterior to the onyx marble master bathroom.

The basement.

It also has another 16,000 square feet of living space.

A seating area outside.

What has changed is the garden.

A granite fireplace.

When blogTO first wrote about this house four years ago, the backyard was a dirt hole.

The swimming pool has an integrated hot tub and a waterfall.

Now the landscaping is complete, the pool is complete and looks very much like an oasis.

The soccer field with safety net is behind the swimming pool.

Also, since the house sits on over an acre of land, there is enough room for a football pitch in the back yard, which of course they have.

The gym’s hot tub.

But is the garden worth nearly $5 million extra? Maybe with the current rate of inflation…but unlikely.

The facade of the house.

That being said, this may be when the house really sells, as Toronto‘s ultra-wealthy are currently buying more homes than ever before.
